Most of the daily life on campus came to a screeching halt in March in response to COVID-19, and plans are underway for a phased return for employees and fall return for students.

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ announced on April 3 that all of the university’s summer courses would be offered online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a season that has brought unprecedented changes and challenges, a growing number of students say they look forward to taking advantage of the opportunity, and the University is working to ensure that students stay on track in their academic programs and career goals.

Dr. Tucker shares thoughts and sentiments with students, faculty, and staff regarding the coronavirus pandemic and how it has impacted the campus in Livingston, Alabama.

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Student Government Association has joined forces with the other 13 public universities in Alabama and the Higher Education Partnership to host an Alabama Blood Donation Campaign. This organized effort is sponsored in response to the call to action from Alabama Governor Kay Ivey.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ recognizes students for academic achievement and leadership each spring on Honors Day.

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has continued to monitor novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential effects on the university community and its educational delivery methods.

Tutorials have been scheduled to assist in the transition to online learning necessitated by the University's response to the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19). All tutorials will be held in the Julia Tutwiler Library on campus the week of Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20, 2020.

Urinetown

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Theatre and Sumter Theatre Workshop are partnering to present “Urinetown, the Musical†for three nights March 11-13, at 7:30 p.m. at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Bibb Graves Auditorium. Admission is free for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students, faculty, and staff, and general admission is $10

Dr. Michael Young will identify the “DREAMers†and the movement they shaped at a public lecture set for Feb. 24 at Bridges Auditorium at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
