The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ announced on April 3 that all of the university’s summer courses would be offered online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a season that has brought unprecedented changes and challenges, a growing number of students say they look forward to taking advantage of the opportunity, and the University is working to ensure that students stay on track in their academic programs and career goals.

Dr. Tucker shares thoughts and sentiments with students, faculty, and staff regarding the coronavirus pandemic and how it has impacted the campus in Livingston, Alabama.

A new COVID-19 testing site has been established to serve Sumter County and surrounding communities. The testing site began operations Thursday, April 16, reportedly screening more than 100 and testing 27 who met necessary requirements for receiving the test.
As the world responds to the COVID-19 pandemic with closures and temporary changes in operation, the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Black Belt Museum is using what would be downtime to pool resources and address the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) for front line healthcare workers in the region.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Student Government Association has joined forces with the other 13 public universities in Alabama and the Higher Education Partnership to host an Alabama Blood Donation Campaign. This organized effort is sponsored in response to the call to action from Alabama Governor Kay Ivey.

Tutorials have been scheduled to assist in the transition to online learning necessitated by the University's response to the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19). All tutorials will be held in the Julia Tutwiler Library on campus the week of Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20, 2020.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Research Symposium 2020

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ will host its ninth annual University Research Symposium (URS) on Tuesday, March 10. Led by the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the event showcases undergraduate and graduate research from ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and a slate of schools across the region.
