The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has announced that Kylee Koch will lead the varsity cheerleading team, filling the vacancy as the team prepares for summer cheer camp in July. Koch is a 2019 graduate of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and will continue her studies in pursuit of a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications. She brings to the role seven years of cheer and tumbling coaching and instruction, as well as a career focus in communications.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is partnering with an exchange program to bring two students from Germany to study at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. The program seeks families within a one hour driving distance of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s campus in Livingston who wish to host a German student for the 2019-2020 school year. Anyone who is interested in serving as a host should sign up for the opportunity by June 28.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has announced nearly 500 outstanding undergraduate students named to the President’s List and the Dean’s List for the Spring 2019 academic semester. The President’s List gives recognition to undergraduate students with exceptionally high grades for the semester, those with grade-point averages of 3.80 or higher on at least twelve semester hours credit with no grade lower than a “C.â€

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Dr. Lee Stanton and a group of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students will work and study at Dauphin Island Sea Lab for the coming weeks as part of the Sea Lab's University Programs summer session, which kicked off on Monday.

Human Trafficking 101 Class

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Police Department will host a one-day human trafficking awareness class on Wednesday, June 12. The event offers training free of charge for law enforcement, first responders, prosecutors, judges, probation officers, victim service providers, social workers, healthcare professionals, and educators.
